Mission

Promote
the development and use of the state-of-the-art communications and signal
processing technologies to enhance storage systems, in order to achieve
high storage densities, fast access, and low error rates.

Provide
a major forum for discussion and exchange of information among communications
and signal processing professionals interested in storage-related issues.
Activities

Sponsor
technical sessions at major conferences such as ICC and Globecom.

Organize
workshops and tutorials.

Organize
special issues for IEEE publications such as Spectrum, Communications Magazine
and Journal on Selected Areas in Communications.
