Mission

• Promote the development and use of the state-of-the-art communications and signal processing technologies to enhance storage systems, in order to achieve high storage densities, fast access, and low error rates.
• Provide a major forum for discussion and exchange of information among communications and signal processing professionals interested in storage-related issues.

• Sponsor technical sessions at major conferences such as ICC and Globecom.


• Organize workshops and tutorials. 


• Organize special issues for IEEE publications such as Spectrum, Communications Magazine and Journal on Selected Areas in Communications.
